Current state laws which prohibit the sale of biodiesel in a strictly retail
atmosphere. Being a member of an organization that has a state-approved
variance enables one to purchase biodiesel in the state of California.
The San Francisco Biofuels Cooperative is one such organization in the Bay Area.
The annual membership fee is $36. This supports
administrative activities supporting basic activities and Fleet Card
administration plus other co-op activities such as outreach.
